My latest box is inspired by Britain and WWII. My little collection of 1930's-50's newspapers and magazines got my creative collage juices flowing again. I've been doing alot of Irish photo cards, jewelry and flower brooches lately, so it had been awhile since I had worked with paper & glue. Think it'll be my passion du jour again for a good few jours :)

GIVEAWAY for October 1st...

Woo hoo ~ the first official giveaway is here at last! To kick it off, we have a gorgeous flower brooch made by my dear friend Maura in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Maura makes one-of-a-kind eco-friendly items that she has for sale in her Etsy shop, lilgreenshop. She's made this ethereal brooch with layers of soft gauze and cotton jersey with a wispy strand of wool ... makes you think of a clear aqua sea and soft summer breeze ... ooh la la *Calgon take me away!*

Maura has another Etsy shop called GreenWorks where she and her partner make eco-friendly screen printed organic & hemp clothes. I got a handmade velvet scarflette from her last Christmas and it's just beautiful, she really knows how to mix vintage and recycled fabrics to make a one of a kind piece you can proudly flaunt around town! She's a lovely person and great friend and you're going to LOVE your new Irish-made brooch when you win this competition! Good luck and thanks so much for participating!

***winner was #13...Aestraea!!!
